Contact your local Planned Parenthood office. If they can not help you they will be able to refer you to a clinic that can.

anywhere with a large homosexual population has a lot of places you can get tested.
if there is anywhere near you such as weho.
or castro.
or another homosexual district go there.
or look on the internet it shouldnt be hard to find.
You can also go to your regular Dr. and ask for one.
I recommend planned parenthood. Or your family doctor could probably do it. They might just have to send your lab out to a place that screens for it. However, planned parenthood would probably be the cheapest. And it sounds weird but sometimes they put coupons in college coupon books or the phone book for free HIV testing.

if you go to your normal doctor, the fact that you were tested gets connected to your name and, unless you are a pregnant woman, will more than likely cause issues with trying to get affordable health insurance in the future.
If you prefer privacy, your local pharmacy has a mail in kit where you swab your cheek and mail the sample. They can get results pretty quickly but, it is a bit more pricey than going to a health dept or dr office
Are there any service organizations that work with HIV+ population? Many of these agencies will do HIV testing for free, or is there a local city or county run STD clinic or health department-they also do free testing most of the time.
