Can rashes cause permanent damage?!

Question: I had a really bad rash on my neck about two weeks ago. I treated it with some cream that my dermatologist gave me. the rash is gone, but there's still some redness left on my neck. Should I see a skin care expert or just wait?

Rashes usually don't leave anything permanent unless you scratch at it over and over again. Scratching spreads the rash around larger areas of the skin and if left untreated can cause things that don't go away.

If the skin is just red, then it's probably still healing. Rashes usually take a few weeks to go away so just wait and if it doesn't get any better go see a dermatologist. Be sure to use soft moisturizers and drink plenty of water - it helps the skin stay elastic and resistant to damage.

yes, on the skin

Just wait, if it gets worse go back to the doctors. And no, no rash will leave permanent damage unless you scratch and get scars, then the scars will stay.

Although if it is REALLY serious, you'll be able to tell (like if it comes back...) and again, GO TO THE DOCTOR!

severs rashes, such as excema, can leave scars but yours is probably just still healing. i wouldn't worry about it.

yes if you scratch it alot
