Is herpes usually one bump or a lot of bumps?!

Question: Which one?

Answers: Which one?

Herpes outbreaks consist of several reddish bumps with a clear fluid filled blister in the center of each sore. It's very contagious, so you can get it from a single act of sex with an infected patner. Condoms are not very effective in preventing herpes, because they not always cover all infected areas of the skin. Herpes has no cure; but treatment with antivirals such as Valtrex markedly decrease the frequency and severity of the outbreaks. Go to the following links to look at pictures of herpes blisters:

it can be one, more or even none. but herpes outbreaks arent just bumps usually, thats how they start off, but the break open and puss outthem blister up and burn (from what i have read and heard)

A secondary outbreak might typically be one bump, but that's not diagnostic. A blood test for antibodies can tell you if you've been infected, and whether it was recently or not. A pap smear, no, but if you happen to go to the doctor while you still have a lesion it's possible to culture the virus, which is the definitive test.

depending on the immune system of the person it can be one or multiples. if its a first outbreak i suppose there would be more then one. if u have an outbreak at the time u go to the doctor they can tell by looking at it. they can also take a swab culture tests which is more accurate then a blood test. i believe the blood test only detects the oral type (cold sores). if they have sex with someone while they have an outbreak or even symptoms of one then they are 100% able to get herpes. all it can take is one unprotected time. but if they don't have an outbreak then the chances are substantially lowered (like 2% while not having an outbreak), and lowered again if they are taking medication regularally to suppress outbreaks. just get tested if u think u may have come into contact with someone who has herpes.

yes it starts withj one then more comes then when you go to the doctor they look at your blood and see that you have it

i guess it depends.sometimes it could be one or a few bumps but after a while,if left unattended they can look like ulcer looking things and be very painful.if you have unprotected sex one time there is a chance you can catch it depending on if the person you are sleeping with has it.if they dont have it you cant catch it.hope this helps.
