Does humidity help viral or bacterial pneumonia?!
Question: If a person has pneumonia, would heating water in a bowl, putting salt in it and a towel over your head (to help breathe in the vapor) help or worsen the condition?

I told you so! I have been getting it since I can't even remember. I do remember Mom and Dad put a steaming black hanging kettle under a sheet one time for me to breath. I think it breaks up the congestion. Did you get the shot? Get better soon girl! Byee (also Grama ,on the Waltons did it for a baby that had pneumonia)
it really does help... i always use a humidifier when i have any kind of respiratory infection
