Just because the label says it natural or herbal doesnt mean its better for you. Antibiotics and drugs are better and more efficient because they were made for a specific purpose.

If you look at the site, they say that the reasons to take Echinacea are endless as the nature of the contituents in the plant make it ideal for everyday use.
it is said that Echinacea should be taken at the first sign of colds. It is also said that it is a immunostimulator(it stimulates the body's non-specific immune system) and wards off infections. If you look this herb up, there is no evidence that it does any of the above. (look at the link).

Again just because its a herb does not mean its a miracle drug like most people claim. There has not been a herbal drug that was found to do one specific job.Although this herb was used in the past to cure snake bites and other ailments, there are unknown side effects to those herbs. Although there are side effects to drugs and antibiotics, they are known and listed on the bottle

Now what is better? Something that has been used for thousands of years to cure many ailments or something that was scientifically created for just that purpose.

herbalist are not scientists they are witch doctors!!!

Try Tea tree oil. It works wonders.

DONT DO ANTIBIOTICS THEY CAN MESS UP YOUR DIGESTION/IMMUNE SYSTEM if you take too many too long etc. even if prescribed by a doc. then you will curse the rest of your existance. seriously. dont do it.

the antibiotics do work, short answer, and work exceptionally well.

Calendolon Ointment (herbal) from the health shop is fantastic for spots. Wish I'd discovered it years ago! I personally wouldn't touch drugs for this problem but I understand you just want it sorted.

It depends how bad your spots are. If they are mild, you can try a herbal remedy, but it probably won't do much. If the spots get worse, see a doctor about it. Your doctor may prescribe an antibiotic, which will be far more effective than any herbal remedy. Adverse reactions to these (Like those which a previous answerer described) are rare. I've been taking them for a while, and nothing's wrong so far.

see a chinese herbalist they treat the inside to heal the outside....my mum had a bad condition that she couldnt get rid off. ....had some horrible chinese stuff and hey presto gone!

i prefer herbal remedies because they have no side effects.
