1 in 2 adults HAVE HPV, but MOST people who have it don't know they have it. By the age of 50, 80% of women have some strain of HPV. There is currently no FDA approved test for men to even determine if they have HPV unless they have visible genital warts. The high risk strains that can lead to cervical Cancer generally do not come with genital warts. Complete STD tests don't even test for HPV, and pap smears only test for HPV if there is some kind of cell abnormality - which isn't a requirement for having HPV. HPV is transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, with or without symptoms, through oral sex, and while having sex with a condom.

Therefore, half the people who have responded to this question with a definitive "No" probably HAVE HPV and don't even know it.

HPV is actually more common than Herpes. 1 in 4 people have genital Herpes.

no

No. Just because I like to be safe and I think that others should follow that. Its not that major yet from what i understand but it is becoming more common..

NO. NO. AND HELL NO.

HPV CAN BE TRANSMITTED JUST BY SKIN CONTACT EVEN WITH A CONDOM.

HPV is currently infecting between 1/4-1/3 american girls!

It is extremely common! Even the kids' precious condoms cannot stop it!

No...I wouldn't...

Personally, I wouldn't. If I can see them when I'm trying to get him well "hard". I'm sure I'd be disgusted and say, (being as poliete as possiable) "I think you need to get that checked out by your doctor as soon as possible."

But, some people may not even know. Or others I'm sorry to say.. "Beggers can't be choosers" Or if their prostitutes and have to no matter what to get paid. Man I feel sorry for them.

I think that if you love somebody and plan on being with them long term, that risking the transmission of a STD can be ok. I used to be very worried about HPV--most people who don't have STDs absolutely do not want one and with good cause. But if you have it, its not the end of the world.

And HPV is very common. It is probably not as life altering as herpes because outbreaks are not bad, and the stigma attached is not as bad. But both viruses are common. The major difference is that some types of HPV can cause cervical cancer. And unfortunately, condoms do not provide protection as it is a skin to skin contact transmission.

People don't really understand the stigma attached to STDs until they get one, unfortunately. Oh, and I have had about 5 girlfriends who have had HPV--some of them never get an OB again, and they are saying now that your system may be able to eradicate it after a certain number of years.

it would depend on the strain. if it was a kind that causes genital warts, no way would i sleep the person. but if it was a different strain, i think i could be ok with that. it is extremely common, and even if it was a strain that can lead to cevical cancer, as long as i got a yearly pap smear it wouldn't really be that big of an issue to me.

Since many persons can have HPV and have no symptoms many people do not realize that they have sex with persons who are infected. People can say no they would not, but really how in the heck do they really know if the person is infected or not. The high risk type of HPV is not a wart but it is sexually transmitted and men carry it from female to female. Genital warts can look like a rash or can be so small that people overlook them. Women can have warts far up their vaginal area and men can not see them.

if they looked like u i would
