What is making me feel dizzy?!

Question: Yesterday around noon I began to feel dizzy, and it continued throughout the day, and I still feel dizzy this morning. It mostly happens when I tilt my head or make sudden movements. This morning it's almost making me sick to my stomach. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary, although I drank a lot of water the day before yesterday. Will this go away on its own, and how long will it take?

I was dizzy all day yesterday too. But, I woke up this morning feeling a bit better & not dizzy anymore. I wish I could offer up why-but I will wish that you are feeling better soon :)

If it lasts a few days, you may want to see your doc.

With the sudden movments and tilting of your head...it could be an inner ear infection. You might go get it checked out.

You might have labrynthitis - go to WebMd and look at the symptoms and treatment when you type this disorder in. It is caused by an inner ear problem - can be treated with a medication called Meclazine and usually goes away within a week. You will need to see your doctor in order to get this medication - is prescription only. Some people only have one episode in their life, others have recurring bouts - often after a minor cold-like illness. Only time will tell.

When a person's ears get stopped up, it can cause dizziness when you change positions. Ears get stopped up when the eustachian tube gets blocked by sinus inflammation or sinus drainage. Allergies and colds are common causes. An antihistamine with a decongestant might help - such as Claritin-D or Zyrtec-D, if the problem is caused by blockage of the ear.
