I don't feel the urge to defecate?!


Question: Ok, I had a stressful week, and suddenly I don't feel the urge to defecate. I only pass out flatus even though I eat plenty of food. This has been already for 5 days and I only defecated twice during that duration but in small amounts.

Please help

Try a stool softener and lots of fiber.

This too shall pass.

Try talking less s hit, that way your a ss can catch up with ur mouth.

I'm gonna tell you what all old people know.
Metamucil , or citucel , or prune juice.
May not like the answer , but it works for me .

go to the store and pick up some "bowel cleanse" take the recommended dosage. ( i usually take 4) drink lots of water and you should have a b.m. in the next 12-24 hours. it is a good idea to take extra fiber on a regular basis. todays processed foods usually leave out this important natural "broom" that our bodies need.-blurey

You might have IBS if you have sporadic bathroom habits and a lot of gas. Drink plenty of water and do some soluble fiber caplets.

Stress in some people make them unable to poop. It can also be caused if your body does NOT have enough digestive enzymes and/or good bacteria in your GI Tract. If this is the issue then you may want to take something like GNC: Digestive Health Powder. It contains prebiotics, PRObiotics and digestive enzymes that help BREAKDOWN and ABSORB the nutrients from your food better. Take a product like this for about a week. Plus take one shot glass full of prune juice in the morning. You may be VERY surprised at the improvement. If so ..keep taking it along with a multivitamin. If it does not help then I would ask your doctor for a colonoscopy ASAP.

PS If you drink too much acidic juice/food then it changes your body ph and can kill off your GI track GOOD bacteria. Antibiotics can do the same thing. They can cause yeast infection because too much of good bacteria are killed and BAD bacteria take over so people eat yogurt ..has PRObiotics.
