Will I catch a disease for using a used saxophone mouthpiece?!

Question: You would be 'smart' having your own mouthpieces...however, even when you may have your own...Good hygiene' should ALWAYS be practiced! Cleansing the mouthpieces is a great habit to begin & practice from here on out! Carry some liquid sanitizer that you can use to cleanse multiple surfaces....Your own immune system will determine whther you will be more apt to contract something...Why not make a habit of taking some Echinea(sp?) as a regular part of your day...Look into some Herbs & supplements to find it...available OTC(over the counter) & simply good to help assist your immune system! Take care!

No, not if you clean it properly.

And to Monkey Gurl: No reason to throw away an old mouthpiece if it a good one- replacing a mouthpiece can be expensive.
