Why does my stomach burn?!

Question: I've been recently diagnosed with GERD (about 3 weeks ago) and I've taken Prilosec for it.. but few days ago, my stomach started to burn a lot and food has just not been staying down and I feel like throwing up, but I constantly swallow it down and drink water because I hate the feeling of throwing up. I've also gotten small headaches.. I'm getting a bit worried because my lower right abdomen has started hurting just a little.. it's not a sharp pain, just burning and stinging a bit.. and I've been worried that it may be appendicitis. If it gets worse I'm going to the doctor, but for now I'm wondering if anyone knows what might be causing this.. or any remedy? Thanks.

Could be a case of the fartsies :)
Appendicitis hurts like hell, best way to check is lay down on your back, and lift your right knee towards your chest, and press down.
If it hurts like hell, visit a doctor.
Otherwise, while down, do bicycle motions to let gas pass.

Your medicine could be causing anything from gas to infections for all your post tells me.
Overall, you seem to have heartburn... and the vomiting... all which make up for GERD!

Edit: GERD =gastro esophageal reflux disease, for those that dont know about it, its basically your stomach returning food to an esophagus that's not able to shut properly :)

fire

I THINK THAT U GOT HEART BURNG OR U HAD SOMETHING WHICH IS OVER DATE

I don't think you should be waiting to go to the doctor, your PCP would know more about your health and would be much better to diagnose you than anyone here who is likely not skilled enough to make those kind of calls.

Maybe the Prilosec is causing your problems. Go back to the doctor you got it from and see what he or she says.

Just some of the side effects that may occur from Prilosec are :
stomach pain,
gas;
nausea,
vomiting,
diarrhea;and / or
headache.
So it could very well be from the Prilosec but I wouldn't hesitate to call your Doctor and let him/her know what's going on.
