It's usually a deeply rooted mindset and will take time, but you might try telling him that fruit and vegetables cannot make him fat, so if he is worried he should try a raw vegan or raw vegetarian diet. If he continues this way, his body will actually end up storing most of the fats he does eat. Bulimia really isn't the answer to weight loss. It's only the answer if he wants to be unhealthy and feel terrible. And also, run the risk of shutting down his organs/posioning them. Not ot mention, it can wear away the beautiful pearl of his teeth. assure him he is beautiful as he is. and mean it. Compliment the things you love about him, making sure not to overdo it so he knows your sincerity. Until he can get control over it, have him take a whole food vitamin and mineral supplement to make sure he gets proper nutrition. I can't imagine how you must feel, I know it hurts so much when you want to help someone, but can't. DO stick with him, as a friend, always. Try not to be pushy, but VERY calm, and state facts when you do bring it up. Also make sure he drinks enough water.

its his decision, but make sure he knows hes skinny, and as long as he eats healthy, and excersizes, he wont get fat. also tell him he CAN eat junk once and a while, maybe he can have milk&cookies once a week, or ice cream every other day. he need to be aware that he is already thin.

Hope i helped...

Unfortunately, the things that you can do for him are limited, because a person struggling with bulimia has to truly WANT help. The BEST thing that you could ever do for him is listen. Listen to whatever he has to say, and continue encouraging him to seek help.
