Question for doctors only!?!

Question: I have a question that I want an actual doctor to answer. About a year ago my eye doctor discovered a pinquecula in my right eye. I decided that it would be best to remove it. It's been a year and I've been trying to remember to wear sunglasses so that I don't get a pinquecula again. This morning I discovered what looks like a pinquecula in my other eye. However around this time of year I have alot of trouble with my allergies, so I don't know if what appears to be a pinquecula is actaully something due to my allergies. Also I've read that pinqueculas are very rare in younger people...and I'm 16 so the possibility of me having another one would be very rare wouldn't it?

pingeculum is a conjunctival degeneration, and its mostly on the outer temple side,a pterygium is more common and is on the nasal side mostly,at your age its extremely rare, since u had one the chance of recurrence and occuring in other eye is higher ,also with the allergy season now in full blow, allergic conjunctivits is extremely common and ,best advice is get good ultra violet protection and treat the allergy ,best time for surgery is colder calmer seasons ,it can be done anytime but u dont need to rush in it,unless its encroaching on the cornea
