First, mention it to the Hotel Management

Second ... disinfect all the clothe very well, including the suitcase.

Third ... get a lotion from the pharmacy. The pharmacist knows best what is effective.

You do Not need to see a doctor

Take care of it a.s.a.p. as it is highly contagious.

...

definitly report it!!! thats a major health and safety issue for the hotel..

you can probably get a cream in the chemist to get rid of it instead of going to the doctors about it
xxx

Yeah report them, get some money as compensation, that's disgraceful!
He should see a doctor as well.

Yes. Its a health and safety risk. Especially body lice.

what is he waiting for.
send him to doctor (GP)
and then to the lawyer

I am sorry to read that your friend has got body lice.

If your friend is sure that the hotel was the source of the infection, then this should definitely be reported both to the hotel and the public health authority. Just remember that it is also possible that your friend actually caught them from someone else as they live in clothing.

Most websites seem to suggest that you can't actually treat the body for body lice as the lice actually live in the clothing and bedding. So although you could treat with 1% permethrin (Nix), it is more important to treat the bedding and clothing which can be achieved by washing at 55 C. There are also powders which you can use to dust these items but you would have to check where you live as to what you need to buy.

I hope that this is sorted out soon for your friend. Take care.

yes
go to a doctor

That is disgusting. Generally, body lice live in clothing and not on your body, unless they are biting you. I am not sure I'd blame a hotel since they die after 24 hours without a meal. My guess would be your friend shared clothing, or, they didn't change the sheets. Anyway, washing your wardrobe will get rid of them.
