This Question Is So Embarassing... Females Only!?!

Question: For the past few days my clitoris and the outside of my vagina has been really itchy... not the pubic hair, the actual clitoris itself. And its obviously quite sensitive so I can't scratch it in case I hurt myself. What does it mean? I'm a virgin and I haven't been using any new medication, bath oils or soap. Please help me.

I had the same problem recently. You could have the beginnings of a yeast infection. Go see a doctor, or buy some stuff for it from the chemists. Good luck.

could be thrush , chemists sell thrush cream over the counter

You can pick up any number of infections, including thrush and other fungal infections, from using a public toilet. Try gynelotrimin, or another anti-fungal cream. If it doesn't clear up, you'll have to see a doctor.
Also, be careful of any product you may be using in that area. You could be having an allergic reaction.

Well, it could be a condition, but most likely it is not harmful.

Just be careful with itching it, as you might get a infection from the bacteria you put down there.

The best and possibly only solution is to notify your doctor.

You can also try telling your mom. She will probaly have some idea what it is.

it's probably and yeast infection or a rash of some sort
or maybe you have lice down there[not saying you do] it's a strong possibility. just buy a yeast infection thing like monistat 7 or something. okay?? or tell your mom. moms know everything?? if you don't have a mom[just saying] then im srry.

It deff. sounds like a yeast infection. Go to the store and buy an OTC cream for yeast infection. If it does not get better in a few days than you should go to the doctor.

Alright....sounds like you have a yeast infection. Have you had an antibiotic or any cortisone treatments lately? Those are both pretty likely causes. Douching, using perfumed vaginal sprays, taking oral contraceptives and some forms of diabetes can all be possible triggersYeast infections are basically a fungal infection. You didn't get it from a public toilet, yeast lives in the healthy body all the time normally and ends up growing too much and becoming an infection if something gets out of balance in your vaginal system. Don't be embarrassed either, its extremely common and doesn't mean you did anything wrong or unhealthy at all. I just had one myself for the first time recently.

I'm not big on medication unless you really, really need it although the over the counter cream that everyone's recommending does work. I suggest a nightly vaginal wash with diluted tea tree oil, taking garlic oil capsules orally daily, taking acidopholis or eating yogurt with live cultures and drinking cranberry juice (make sure its actually cranberry though and not cranberry juice cocktail which is mostly apple juice and lots of sugar and water). Make sure to wash yourself carefully with soap and water every day until the irritation clears up and dry off thoroughly afterwards. Make certain that your underwear is cotton and if its possible go without at night and even during the day if you can swing it. Fungus thrives in enclosed damp warm places so adding a little extra air circulation can help it clear up faster.

Good luck!
