Does your moisturizer do this?!
Question: When i use a new moisturizer, cleanser, etc.
it works for maybe a week
and then it seems to have little to no effect on my skin
what's worse is that it leaves my skin kinda of red and irritated and a bit dry
what am i doing wrong?
and if you have any suggestions
plz feel free to give some recommendations for sensitive combination skin
for cleansers, moisturizers, etc

I'm not sure what product line you're using; however, it sounds like your products are destroying you lipids barrier. That's the sweat and oil barrier of the skin that prevents dirt and impurities from penetrating deep into the follicle.
You should avoid products that contain:
lanolin, mineral oil, petroleum, isopropyl benzenol, soap, fragrance (if listed other than the last 5 ingredients). Remember the first 5 ingredients are the most important.
Dermalogica is a very good product line but it is pretty pricey, just remember, you get what you pay for!

you probably have sensitive skin, you should probably reduce the use. Don't worry, it happens to me all the time!
Your not doing anything wrong. It's the mosterizer. Try switching to something soft and for sensitive skin. I recomend Dove. Hope I helped!
