How can I get over my embarrassing problem?!

Question: I get really bad allegies and sneeze a lot.... but on more than one occassion lately, I've seemed to of let out a fart at the same time as I've sneezed. Infact at work the other day, I accidently messed my pants. (it was only a small mess, but it did feel squelchy) I'm sure people have started to notice, as everytime I sneeze people seem to laugh out loud. They do have an unusual aroma which is even worse. I'm starting to get very paranoid.... any advice?

Better brace your "you know what" when you feel a sneeze session coming on. Muscle control and all that. You might have to do some squeezing exercises to make sure you don't get too relaxed in that department. If this is a serious question, get a "grip" on the situation now. Otherwise, as you age, it will get worse.

The farting has nothing to do with the sneezing except that in both cases you have no control over your bodily functions.

Watch what you eat. Fatty foods or high-fat foods will give you more gas. Soda pop, coffee, any carbonated or sugary drinks will also make you pass gas more. Just watch your diet and eventually you should be able to sneeze without worrying about what is coming out the other end.
