Keep applying a cool wash rag to your face and taking the Benedryl. You must have VERY sensitive skin for the face wash to burn you like that. If you still are having a problem tomorrow, I'd call the doctor and see if there are any creams you could use. You could maybe try Aloe gel to help with the itchiness. Good Luck!

omg that sound awful i sure wish i new of something you can do fo rsure but i can give you a few folk remedies that have worked for me. any time i have swelling on my face rather it be from a pimple bags under my eyes or whatever i use preparation H it is meant for swelling also use ibuprofren good luck hon

You used to much. There are very powerful chemicals in those acne creams that will give you the appearance of a bad sunburn. Ive heard pro-activ is good. I know about thus stuff I had bad acne growing up.

You can take up to 2 Benadryl at a time, every 4 hours if needed, to make the symptoms go away. This probably will make you very sleepy though. You can try using some Cortaid cream on your face in small doses, the steroid in it will help with the swelling and the itching. Whenever I get hives on my face this is what I use. Also Benadryl does make an antihistamine cream so that might be a good option as well. If this doesn't clear up in the next day or so, I really suggest you see a doctor to help get it cleared up.
