before spending all this money make a scheduled 1 mile walk everyday for 1 week and see if you notice any difference.
stop drinking soda and cut down on unnecessary foods that you know are bad for you. drink water. A LOT. yes you will urinate, but carrying water with you every where you go does wanders.
2nd week make it a two mile walk. DO IT EVERYDAY! if you can't do it one day, add an extra mile the next and then go back to normal.
3rd week see if you can jog, walk, jog, walk the first mile and walk the 2nd.
4th week you should notice an effect you will be really satisfied with and keep sticking to it. if you feel it's working do it every other day or 3 days and rest one day and so on.

that's my plan and i see a difference daily. and i can now run 2 miles!!! i started out not being able to run 1/4!!!!
belly fat is a hard thing to loose but it's not impossible. the best way to do it is cardio. and once you start pushing yourself to run further and further. you'll notice it go down.
and you will feel so much more healthier. running is THE BEST way to get healthy and loose weight.

I really cured my type 2 diabetes and lost a ton of weight.

I simply switched to whole grain breads, quit eating store bought bread.

I stuck to meats, real cheese, real everything all in portion.

I eat only spinach salads for lunch with a few crutons with Italian dressing...

Doubt me not, my blood sugar is awesome now and I lost a over 40 pounds. I can even eat sweets some times now because I've had my sugar in check for a long time now and it doesn't spike it.

Hope this helps.

I would try to control anything with a lifestyle diet change before surgery.

Are you mentally stable? I've told myself I couldn't stand the stress--I'm very depressive, and any unnecessary (maybe) stress will rock my world.

If you're okay, you desperately need to lose weight. You may not lose your belly fat--even the people in my family who are healthy still have belly fat. It's part of being in my family.

But you can get off all of those medications by losing weight.

Make sure you have a dr. who has done this procedure 100s of times. Be sure you're willing to eat very little for a long time. Thank goodness it's reversible. I'd go for lap band 100X more than gastric bypass.

There are foods, you know, that can help to trim your waist. There is a list and an exercise routine I have found. You don't need surgery.

Hi,
Have you had a comprehensive medical checkup with tests for thyroid problems and Cushing's syndrome ?
The "belly Fat " sounds like it could be cushing's.
You should consult a endocrinologist and have a 24 hour urine free test.
Do NOT accept a blood test.Any doctor who uses that has no clue about cushing's.
I wish you the best.

There's a yahoo group about these surgeries, and what can go wrong

its at

and another one that supports having this questionable surgery

Personally I don't think that surgically induced malnutrition is the answer. That's what this surgery produces. Malnutrition.

Try walking more, and cutting your carbs more, at least you'll be more fit, even if you can't get rid of the belly fat.
