One word "Abreva" it will do the trick for ya. Just take it and it will be gone in a flash!!
By the way don't do anything stupid like poke it with a needle. You may end up giving yourself an infection and could possibly get MRSA in it and that would be awful. Then you can't touch anybody for a while - so just do yourself a favor and use Abreva ok!

I have used "abreva" its a small blue squeeze tube and it seems to do the quickest job. A co-worker would take a needle or pin to cold sores. To drain it then all she would do is deal with the small scab on her lip. I cant bring myself to do it. and I dont know how safe that is but It would be easier to blame the dot of blood on a "shaving cut". Good luck and if all else fails just be honest with her that goes a long way!

Nine days is plenty of time for this "thing" to heal on it's own. For goodness sakes DON'T poke it with a needle. Chances are it's not just a cold sore or fever blister but herpes. And if you poke it with a needle you could just infect the surronding area with the virus which leads to more sores on your face. Use abreva, like the other person said, keep it clean and dry, don't try to pick at it or squeeze it this will only cause inflammation and make matters worse. Use abreva and just wait it out. But even if it's gone and you don't have any more of these fever blisters you could still pass on the virus (if in fact that is what it is) so be open and honest and ALWAYS use protection. Get to your Doctor for additional information and testing so you can start treating this, cause it will keep coming back. Good luck and don't freak out if it is herpes cause alot more people than you think have it.
