Dizzy feeling in my head?!

Question: I get this dizzy feeling in my head, I get this panic feeling coming over me and like there's something in my throat (like a slight gag - or as if I'm going to throw up). it happens randomly and i just want some ideas of what it could be. perhaps it's psychological? also I'm 17 years old and I'm a male... thanks in advance for helping :]

sounds like generalized anxiety disorder. I have the same thing. You may also experience sleep problems, lightheaded, feeling like you are going to pass out. go to google and type in anxiety disorder and check for more symptoms. I have seen a dr. about mine and i am on xanax now. I dont take it every day, but it can become habit forming.

If you were just dizzy I would say that maybe it's vertigo. This is when you move positions and you become dizzy. It happens when you stand up or sit up from laying down. Vertigo is a simple inner ear infection that you can go to an ear/nose/throat doctor to have looked at.

However, since you feel sick and panicky then I would say you have anxiety disorder. It's a horrible and scary thing to go through. I talked to my doctor who perscribed a medication called lorazapam. It's great. Whenever I feel the anxiety coming on I just take the pill and it prevents my anxiety attack. You should definitly look it up on WebMD. It will give you other symptoms and signs. Talking to a doctor will definitly help.
