Listen to her doctor, get a second opinion and make sure she has access to a good hospital and oncologist.

Breast cancer is survivable and a woman - especially in early stages - doesn't always have to lose her breast.

Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be intimidated by the doctors. Make sure there is always someone with your mom when she talks to the doctor because quite often, the patient can get so overwhelmed, they miss valuable instructions and information.

And most important, let her handle it in her own way. Be there if she needs help. Understand if she doesn't want or isn't ready to talk about it. Be a calming influence whenever possible and her advocate with the rest of the world whenever she needs you to be.

Good luck. If it is early she has great chances to beat this thing.

I'm sorry to hear about that. My mother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 12 years ago...doing well and in remission. Your mothers doctor should give her some treatment options. I don't know where you live, or your mothers insurance, financial situation but I firmly recommend your mom seeking help and a second opinion at a medical facility...M.D. Anderson..http://www.mdanderson. Good luck to you and your mom...remember beating cancer has alot to do with attitude!!!!!

the product can really help. please consider the product. use my website to buy one. thanks!

I am sorry. I dont know much about treatment.Clearly she will need to have a treatment plan. Be sure to get several opinions on a treatment plan.
Remember too that the power of prayer can help also. Call your pastor and ask that she is prayed for through prayer chains and or mentioned as one of the sick in the parish who are prayed for by fellow parishioners.

She has to choose how she wants to treat it. Usually, at the early stage, it can be surgically removed or treated with radiation. These two treatment options have the highest probability of permanently killing the cancer cells at this stage.

Many people also choose alternative treatments such as herbs and folk remedies. These types of approaches, if they work at all, are too slow, and have a low probability of stopping the cancer before it spreads.

Getting rid of the cancer as fast as possible is the best thing to do at this point. Once it spreads, the cancer is difficult to control.

Most important is get an second opinion. I had breast cancer too. My personal opinion the second thing to do is to change your diet. American Cancer Society has a website. They suggest eating more fruits, vegetables, cut down on red meat and fast foods. The third thing is start exercising if your mom doesn't already. I try to walk everyday for 30 to 60 mins. I say a prayer for your mom. If they caught it early, survival rate is excellent.

Sorry to hear.
Since stage is early, she will have to undergo surgery.
Type of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and hormonal factors depends on various factors, including ER/PR status, staging and age, menstural history
