Can Someone Help Me Cure My Laryngitis?!

Question: I have Laryngitis and I can't get rid of it. I am a phone operator and I need my voice back quick! I have no voice for two weeks. I went to the doctor three times now. Each time I am given antibotics and steriods and told to do my nebulizer treatments. I have drank tea, water, honey, lemon and I have used steam and vaporizers rested my voice, slept. I just can't get the damn thing back! I keep coughing and they gave me Vicodin Cough syrup and told me to take Mucinex D. Nothing is helping. Has anybody got any tricks up their sleeve? Even though I know it would be bad I feel like if I screamed it would clear some of the mucus off my vocal cords. I am not sure what to do. Lemma know!

You should see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. I have this happen and come to find out it was due to reflux. That was my only symptom, no heartburn or anything else. I thought my family doc was crazy when she suggested this but turns out she was right. The ENT doc took a small flexible tube and went through my nose to get down to look at my throat. I know it sounds bad but it really wasn't, it just sounds creepy. LOL I took Prilosec and a couple of days later I had my voice back.

Try a different doctor, and remember you have to stop using your voice until you're better. Every time you try to talk while you've got laryngitus it takes it longer to heal.

thinking.... you might also try anything to help your immune system... after all, laryngitis usually begins with a virus. Get lots of sleep (you make antibodies while you sleep).

Have you wrapped you neck with a cowboy bandanna
--- You said nothing of it just wondering --

A bandanna of any-kind anything long enough to encompass the neck
And I put a little Vicks vapo rub under it .

That is the only way that will help me at times

Oh yell and chew chewing gum any kind
