The average person can have blood pressures between 90/60 and 135/80. Some people are normally lower like my wife who has 80/54 normally. Drops below your own normal numbers is a significant problem.

So take repeat blood pressures and get a trend for what is normal, a persons blood pressure may change alot even in one day.

Additionaly if had symptoms, you would go get seen for those.

And remember you blood pressure for future problems, a normally low blood pressure combined with a new complaint can cloud medical judgement and prohibit many treatments.

It could be your "normal" This is my normal, because I take a medicine that makes it really low and so now mine is right about that level also.

The nurse in the office thought she was doing it wrong though one time and went and got another nurse to take it, finally when the dr came in, he had to explain that it was because of the medicine that I take. I'm 26 and a female.

I have really low BP too and I am 18. I think it is normal. its just annoying when you get lightheaded.

It's on the low side of normal, but of no concern in a fit and healthy young person. The only problems you are likely to experience are occasional dizziness.

Alternatively, if you have very thin arms and they used a normal sized cuff on the blood pressure machine, they could have got a falsely low reading.

Your blood pressure (BP) appears to be rather on the lower side. you may please repeat it, and again after taking food.
A low BP may cause syncopal attacks!

I have had low blood pressure all my life. Normally it's around 80/60 and all of my doctors are happy about it. Unless your blood pressure is normally higher and has had a sudden drop, you don't have anything to worry about. Generally, low blood pressure does not cause any bad problems

It's low compared to the norm. But if you feel fine then I wouldn't worry about it. Here's a site with more info:
