I started smoking when I was 15. I'm 18 now, and still smoke, but i've quit many times before, once for almost a year. It's really not as hard as people make it out to be, it's all just a state of mind.

What I did, was work alot. I told my managers ahead of my shift, to NOT let me go out and smoke, no matter what I did to ask. They agreed and that really helped. I dount being 14 you have a job though, so the best thing to do is to keep your mind off of smoking.

Try to keep yourself busy. Not busy like watching TV, or reading, that won't help. I found cleaning to be real helpfull, and i'm sure your parents won't mind you cleaning :]. I also picked up other hobbies. Softball, soccer.

Don't buy them anymore! Throw any you have left out. That's the first step. The second is to keep your mind off it.

Just DON'T do it. It's pretty simple.

First, you have to really want to stop.

Second, just stop.

Third, try chewing licorice or sour punch straws. Itll get your mind off of the cigarette without losing the oral stimulus that accompanies smoking.

It's "nicorette." I know you're young so you don't probably know, but "niggette" looks like the female version of the 'N' word.

I stopped when I went to boot camp. It worked really well and gave me a good direction in my life.

its very hard to stop. the DR. can give you pills, but they are $120.00 for a month and I don't know if they work or not. the gum helps me a lot, but you have to really want to stop in order for it to work. good luck!!

Buy something that replaces it. instead of buying a pack of smokes, buy a pack of gum. Secondly, quiting is extremely hard. Nicotine is addicting as heroin. Once your body experienced it, it wants it again. For me it took me to the point where I started coughing up blood to scare me into quiting. Its all on you really.

if you really want to stop, you can do it, there is nothing impossible. just persuade your self, tell yourself not to do. and then dear God also will help you.

well I would go to your GP anyways. They came out with a new drug called chantrix. I have several friends that are on it and they all highly recommend it. They say that the urge to smoke isn't there anymore.. a few of them haven't smoked for about 1 1/2 years.
