Coule my daughter have chicken pox? shingles?!

Question: My daughter is 3 1/2 and has had the chicken pox vaccine. She got 3 bumps about 2 days ago on her face, she woke up with them so i thought it was a spider or something. But now they have pus coming out of them. I do work in a nursing home where shingles is common. Could i have brought something home to here? But i do not have any bumps or anything (i have never had chicken pox) or the vaccine or testing against it. So what do you think, shingles? chicken pox? spider bite? Any help is appreciated.

When someone gets chicken pox, even once it's done with, it's never completely gone. A little bit of the infection stays in your body. That's where shingles comes from. If you go through a stressful time it can be brought up again, which results in shingles. So, even if you had brought the shingles home with you, she most likely would have gotten chicken pox. Also, it's very rare for people under 60 to get shingles (unfortunately for me, I was one of the rarities.). It most likely is chicken pox. Of course the only sure way of finding out is by taking her to the doctor.
I hope I've helped!

she will not get shingles unless when she is old and unwell.
You may have brought home chicken pox and you may still get it unless you practised strict barrier nursing. She is at the age where it is best to have it and develop immunity, but if you get it, being older, you will get much sicker.

I think you should call the doctor! DUH!!!
