Does any one here have Fybromyalgia? What do you take to help with the pain?!

Question: Do you have a real good day and then all of the sudden you can't get out of bed for a couple days in a row? I only thought older people where effected by this, guess I was wrong.

Any storys or advise would be appreciated.

I'm 18 and have had fibro since I was 11. It mainly effects women between the ages of 20-50. 2% of the population suffer from it.

Yes that's exactly how it is for me. I have good days where I'm not in much pain but it's definitely manageable. Then I'll have a day where I can't get out of bed, like literally. Most mornings it takes me 30minutes-2 hours to get out of bed. Then I have to go and have a shower to warm up my joints, it helps me a lot. I'm on magnesium and calcium suppliments, anti depressants, sleeping pills, B vitamins, folic acid and gluten free diet.

Cold weather makes everything a lot more painful, along with humidity. I can't run anymore and I have trouble walking some days. I also have problems with my memory and brainfog.

I've only ever had a few really bad days where I can't get out of bed, but they've been very bad. Most days I just try and put it out of my head.

I've also been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue, Restless Leg Syndrome and possibly Lupus and Raynaud's Disease.

...

There is days that are really good and Iearned to appreicate them and then there are days that just can't make it out of bed and if I do manage to get out of bed, I sat on the couch and fall asleep. The medications are Lyrica and Cymbalta.

I written of this subject on the net

your problem is stress related and trauma related. little of both.

i helped over 50 people for free with incurables there happy and fine,

Yes it is just as you describe for me as well. I do much better in warm dry weather, and then tend to over do things. I pay the price for several days after. I also have Bursitis in both hips, but before I developed that I did warm water swims. I have heard that yoga is helpful. On my worse days I cut up a Lidoderm patch and place the strips that I have cut in several places. Some antidepressants can work for a time. I am on other medications for an autoimmune disease so do not take other oral medications for this. No there is no cure. There is lots of ongoing research however.
Good luck

I've had fibro for 7 years now and for me it seems like for every good day I'll have two to three bad ones some so bad can't do anything. I'm on pain pills and anti depressants and other meds for different things that r going on. A really good sight for more info on fibro. is fibrohugs.com
