Hi, Dot (.) - Tinea cruris ("jock itch", fungal infection in the groin region) usually takes about four weeks of consistent treatment to eradicate (totally get rid of) the fungus. So, if the person with the tinea faithfully adhered to his treatment regimen, then, No - there's no risk of spreading from one partner to another. If the person with the infection, however, didn't follow the treatment regimen, then the tinea may still be present and may be contracted by the sexual partner via skin-to-skin contact.

umm.. i think your thinking of something different cos tinea is a foot diesease

you have to clear with whome you had sex.having infection may cause it.

There are traces of this fungus still on the skin for a while after treatment. That is why they tell everyone who is being treated that you should continue treatment for 2 weeks after all symptoms are gone. I am uncertain if it can be passed to a sexual partner. I am pretty sure it could be. Fungus is one of the hardest things to eradicate. Tinea is also what athletes foot is and ringworm (fungus on the skin) is. However it is not just there. Basically what you have is jock-itch.
