Answers: I was told if u have a uti and u have sex you wll give it to tha person is this true?

Yes and no. Sex is an indirect cause of UTI. UTI's are much more common in women than in men. This is because we have a shorter urethra (the tube that drains the urine from the bladder out of the body). In order to get a UTI, bacteria has to travel up the urethra and into the bladder. In men the urethra is about 6 to 8 inches long, compared with a woman who only has a 1 to 2 inch urethra. 1 to 2 inches is a way shorter path than 6 inches, so bacteria can get into women's bladdes much easier than men's bladders. Also, there isn't much space between a woman's anus and her urethral opening.... this makes it really easy for bacteria from the anal area to make it's way to the urethra.
Ok, so as far as sex and UTI's go.... they aren't transmissable from person to person. But, having sex can cause them. During sex, even though the penis is in the vagina, and not the urethra, it still rubs up against it, forcing bacteria in there. Now that it's in there, it can go up into the bladder. Oral sex on women is another culprit.... especially if the person performing it is (how can I say this without being too graphic)... liking everywhere... Again, the anus is within close proximity to the female urethra, and tongue/saliva is a good way to get from one place to another.
Does that make sense? I guess in short, you could say that it's not contagious through sex, but you can get it from having sex.

yuo talking about a a bladder infection? than NO

Although they cause discomfort, urinary tract infections are usually quickly and easily treated, but it's important that they are treated promptly. You can not get a urinary tract infection from someone else, although females who are just becoming sexually active often get UTIs.

I definitely don't think so. If u have sex, u will probably pass STD (sexually transmitted disease , such as syphillis, gonorrhoea, etc). UTI(urinary Tract Infection) happens more often in women (bcoz of the anatomy of female urinary tract organs) than in men, n not transmitted sexually.
Hope it helps

It is not true.

During intercourse the penis enters the vagina, not the urethra (it's a small pinhole just below clitours where a women urinates from). If a man has a uti he isn't going to stread it because he will only be ejaculating sperm, not urine. Typically if a woman has a uti, the man is at little to no risk because he's only rubbing the outiside of his penis against the woman's urethra. it's not advised that a woman have sex if she has a uti though, because it can worsen a uti. Women frequently get uti after having sex after because of the location of the urethra. A lot of women get uti because they wipe back to front instead of front to back.

uti is a urinary tract infection and no you can not pass it to someone else..
