Mucus and blood but no bowel movement?!

Question: this goes back about 4 years..i was extremely constipated for 3 days and when i finally felt the urge to go only clear mucus came out with some pinkish bloodin it. i wiped and i had more pinkish blood on the paper. i freaked out and went to the ER and the dr took a stool sample and after a few questions he told me to follow up with a GI for a colonoscopy but he thought it was hemmoroids..and he said to eat a lot of fiber. i never went to the gi and that same night i was better and able to go after 3-4 days and without mucus/blood. any idea what this couldve been?

Hemroids is also known by the common name 'Piles'. Bleeding Hemroids is caused by blockage of blood in the rectal area. Veins found in the area around the opening of the anus start enlarging and reach a stage where they can no longer resist the pressure of the blocked blood. When you sit, these veins get squeezed and you experience pain in the rectum. This squeezing or pressure on the veins results in bleeding Hemroids. Constipation is one of the causes of Hemroids. Constipated bowels result in hard stool and may lead to bleeding Hemroids due to scraping caused when the hard stool is being forced out. You can notice red streaks in the stool. Whenever you notice this, you must consult your physician to get it clinically investigated. The blood occurrence in stool may not be due to bleeding Hemroids, however, but rectum bleeding may be a warning of some other sickness.

disgusting . why do I need to read about your bowels?
