tea tree oil, vodka, after shave all help to heal

so does Acyclovir ( the product zovarax) - you can get it pretty cheap if its not branded product

The last time I had a cold sore, I put visine on it and it went away in two days...xo

Cold sore = Herpes Virus 1... Take 1000 mg of Lysine ( an amino acid) every day til the cold sore disappears. Lysine will make the virus go back into hibernation. The Virus hibernates in the Trigeminal nerves. Whenever the virus is roused, depending on what nerve it travels down on will determine whether if you have a sore on your top lip or bottom lip.

I do that every time I feel that itch-like bump on my lips and it really cuts down on the time. Also, a lip balm with Phenol and Salycilic acid (Carmex for example) can help. Also a product called Herpecin, that has lemon balm, and Lysine in it to help speed up the process.

Myself I try to avoid anti-virals like acyclovir, they are very rough on the system and only would take them if I must, if the symptoms were severe. Try to be conservative.

During the outbreak when using Lysine, try to avoid stuff with Argenine in it; that is the antagonist of Lysine, will curtail the effect of Lysine.
