It can be both. It might be that you're simply restricting the blood flow to your feet, sitting on a nerve, or it could be an indication of peripheral neuropathy (nerve-ending damage).

You're doctor would be able to carry out simple touch sensitivity tests, but s/he may well refer you on to see a specialist for nerve conduction tests. Take a look at the following page for more information.

Same here, so I guess it's normal. Are you t1 or t2?

diabetics have a particular distribution of the tingling you describe: the glove and stocking type.

they say it's due to the poor blood supply at the end-areas (fingers and feet).

diabetics also have some degree of damage to peripheral nerves, especially in advanced, uncontrolled cases.

or it could simply be just bad posture on your part.

It is possible that tingling in your feet could be caused by diabetes. There is a complication of diabetes called diabetic neuropathy. For more information check the American Diabetes Association website. I have included a link to diabetic neuropathy below, and please see your doctor.

it could be from diabetes i have it but i dont get the tingling anymore since getting it under controll. so just to make sure go to the doctors and get it check out there are test that they can do to determine if there is any damge to nerves or atreies in the outer extremities.

YES! See UR DR.

Yes. But many things can cause tingling in the feet. If you are sure you are diabetic, this should be a symptom.

I have type 2 diabetes...and suffer from diabetic neuropathy...which will cause the tingle in my feet and les...if you have been having that for some time...you need to go see your doctor ASAP....so you can either get your insulin adjusted or get put on neurontin( ....meds for diabetice which will help with the neuropathy)....good luck. Hope you start to feel better.
