Having a good result from my angiogram does it mean that I do not have?!

Question: heart problems as I still have the same problem with breathlessness. I'm waiting to see me doctor but meantime I need to know why I have this breathlessness.

My treadmill test showed abnormal readings and yet my angiogram was clear (thankfully. Could it be that my fitness levels are to blame here. Some of the registrars seem loathe to tell you anything much and leave you to draw your own conclusions..

I just want to get on with my life..but feel held back as after many months I'm still none the wiser as to the problem.

Other avenues have been explored...but the only significant other condition is my constant High BP for which I take medication, and I still have the swollen ankles.

I'm a being paranoid?

If there are no blocked arteries and the pumping part of your heart is normal than the only other two possibilities are that you have a lung problem, or deconditioning, or a combination of the two. I take it your kidney function(blood tests) is normal so the swelling in the ankles is most probably due to venous incompetence in the legs.

I hope i'm wrong....
If you are short of breath and have swollen ankles you may be having kidney problems.
The reason i mention this is because I had those symptoms before suffering kidney failure in December.
While it seems far-fetched, your high blood pressure may have caused damage to your kidneys that now aren't working properly. One of the kidney's functions is to regulate the amounts of fluid in the body. If the kidneys aren't working properly, the extra fluids trapped in the body tend to accumulate in the ankles (causing swelling) and around the heart and lungs causing shortness of breath.
Like i said, i hope i'm wrong, but if what i've said sounds possible to you, run to your doctor and have a creatinine test done. This test will tell your doctoe whether my theory is correct or not.
Good luck and please update.

It is good news that your angiogram is clear. However, with your blood pressure out of control still, that seems probably to be the issue. If your ankles are still swelling, I wonder what type of salt intake you have in a day. You realize there is sodium in everything you buy practically and it is imperative that you pay attention to all labels now. You really have to not use table salt and restrict severely your intake of all sodium. This can make your ankles and feet swell as can ibuprofen products and a lot of other things. Your doctor will go through this with you. Keep walking, it is good for you and will condition you, but diet is huge. Good luck.
