I'm wondering the same question. I say never but at least they're working on it...
Never. There's no money in cures. Medicines that help you 'live' with a disease are much more profitable. Think about it, POLIO was the last thing to be cured, POLIO!!! With all our modern science do you really think they haven't moved any further on than treating bloody POLIO!!

If that's the case, then the world will never become aware of it.
Besides, who you think the government cares most about: The common people, or MONEY?
If they can invest in millions of dollars for the pharmaceutical companies that render medication for people with HIV/AIDS, then does anyone THINK that there will a known cure?
