Answers: i get light headed almost every time i stand up...

when i work out my blood pressure rises extremely fast.

my family is known for having heart problems and high blood pressure, and i have an irregular heart beat.

I get the same trouble at times when I stand up everything 'whites out' for a moment and I have to wait to get my vision back. My blood pressure runs about 98/55. When I get sick it gets lower-the lowest I remember was 74/43. I tend to feel pretty rough then. But I talked to my doctor about it and he said that low blood pressure is a good thing as long as it doesn't cause me to pass out. He told me not to worry about it. I work out also, but I do not know what my blood pressure is during exercise. I monitor my heart rate and keep it in the suggested parameters. If you are feeling really badly, you should see your doctor. Has your blood pressure always been low or just recently? If it is only recent, see your doc anyway to make sure you aren't losing blood somewhere. If high blood pressure runs in your family, it sounds like you are blessed. Good luck and God bless. Try keeping your head up when you bend over, try not to lower it below your chest. That may help. I don't have any trouble getting out of bed or off the couch or anything, it's just when I crouch down or bend over. I try to get up slowly and not lower my head too much. My doc says it is a rush of blood to the head that causes the faintness. If you have an irregular heartbeat, that in itself is a reason you should talk to your doc to make sure everything is okay.

you should talk to your doctor about these symptoms and family history. they could put you on a medication that helps and you are most likely light-headed due to your blood pressure. you should also get your thyroid checked out.

you should always be careful with salt. don't eat too much of it. well, if you have high blood pressure. but when you get up and get dizzy it might be lack of salt. weird huh? just make sure you eat healthy, workout and sleep good. always have like a candy or something sugary anywhere you go because if your blood pressure goes low then you have to boost it up! lol love ya!

Your symptoms are characteristic of orthostatic hypotension and may be caused by a number of factors; you need to be evaluated by a cardiologist to determine why this is happening.
