Question: My friend was sick, I took her stuff to help her, well she got even worse so she went to hospital she has broncitis and a migraine

yes it's very much so contagious-if she hadn't been washing her hands and you shook it then yes you COULD (not saying you WILL) get sick. At the very least maybe get a cold from it. You could get a cold just being around someone-you don't have to just touch them physically to get sick.

you would have ingest her saliva through sharing a drink or kissing, or an ingest an infected droplet from the air when she sneezes or coughs through the mouth or nose to get it.
if that did happen your immune system will probably kill the bacteria before it gets to your bronchus. And, it light of this complex sequences of events you can live free of worry from contracting the infection from her.
