Ever since I had my angiogram last week I feel like I have something sticking in!

Question: all the time...how can this be I had a probe inserted into my groin to carry out this procedure not down my throat.. It feels for all the world that I have an obstruction in throat it is strange sensation. I think if I were to mention it to my doctor he would laugh at me. I do have a hiatus hernia could this have been disturbed during th procedure though I don't see how but it is just a thought.

There's nothing worse than a laughing doctor. The only thing worse is a patient who would not address her problems in fear of laughter? No offense, but I'm laughing and you ask me and I really don't have any good advice other than to say to you, check with your doctor.

Why would a doctor laugh dear heart go and see one.

get it check out, they do go up your neck if its a cerebral angio (carotid artery ) you may be bruised and swollen following the procedure.
see your doctor it is a major procedure after all

It's very unlikely that the angiogram caused any obstruction in your throat. The procedure would have involved inserting a catheter into your vein and it would have been quite delicately carried out. It's not like a lipo-suction probe, and if it were done that way, you would not be posting the question today. From what you said, you did not have an angio-plasty as well, so nothing would have been left inside you. It is a coincidence that you have the sensation starting at the same time as the angiogram. Also, if the hiatus hernia had been disturbed, it would not be near the throat region, and there is no instance of a referred pain from there to the throat.

This is unrelated to your angiogram. Your doctor has been trained and is being paid to listen to your valid concerns. If he doesn"t, find another one--there are a million of them.

hi,i had an angiogram 18 months ago, straight after i had the feeling of a lump in my throat,i still have.also pain down my right breast.i was told i had gall stones and had my gall bladder out.i had blood test yesterday for pancreas, ill get results today, but i still have the lump in my throat,im sorry youve got the same just thought id let you know your not alone, luv pat xx

If your doctor is worth anything, even if he felt like laughing at your question, you would never know it. See the doctor who is treating your hernia & acid reflux. If he can't find anything, see the cardiologist who ordered the angiogram. This is not a laughing matter.
