Toenail fungus...?!

Question: My big toe on my right foot and my middle toe on my left foot I know have fungus because they are brittle and yellowish white in color. I think it may be spreading to some of my other toes, and that would be a bad deal. A few of my other toes are spotting with and they are discolored. This could be because I wear nail polish all the time. I never go without it. Is there any way to get rid of fungus on the toenail naturally? I know there is a prescription to get rid of it, but the side affects are absolutely scary sounding to me. I know it will take time to get rid of, so if anyone knows of anything to get rid of it, please let me know.

I had the same problem last year! What a nightmare. My podiatrist recommended an over-the-counter cream used for yeast infections and told me to rub it on the nail bed twice a day. Once the infection cleared, he suggested using Vick's Vapor Rub on my toenails a couple nights a week to help prevent re-infection. Then, my dermatologist recommended I get pedicures at better places than I'd been going. Even though I'd watched the staff "clean" the pedicure spa/bath, the bacteria still hide in the filter and drain. Nasty stuff...check it out on Internet. In the mean time, my doctor advised me to do my toenails at home, or go to a "high end" salon, such as Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, etc., if at all possible. I try to limit the visits to once every 4-6 weeks and only have pedicures during sandal season. Good luck!

Try Vick's Vapor Rub every night before you go to bed and put socks on. Some people swear by it. Good Luck

I read an article where a top foot doc said the natural way to avoid athletes foot (sounds like it) is simply to make sure rour feet are completely dry before putting on socks or shoes the lack of moisture deters the fungus growth. It seems to work. after you shower or whatever allow 5 till 10 minutes or so after drying to put on shoes or socks.
