Ok. You are scared, and you have a right to be. However, please know that 80% of lumps are benign (non-cancerous).

Also know that IF it is cancer, not any amount of worry is going to make that go away. You need to keep yourself occupied until you get your results. Otherwise, you will go insane with worry.

How do I know this? I had breast cancer nearly 3 years ago. I was diagnosed at 31.

The waiting is the hardest. The absolute hardest. You can go crazy trying to self-diagnose yourself on the internet, feeling the lump every 5 minutes to see if it has changed, and asking every single person what they think.

I had fibrocystic breasts my entire life, and when I felt the cancer lump, I KNEW right away it was cancer. I totally knew. It didn't feel like the other ones I've felt for all those years.

You've done all the right things by getting yourself checked out and tested. Many women are afraid to do even that much!

Hang in there, calm down, read a book, sing a song, scream into a pillow, whatever it takes until you get your results.

And, for the record, there is NO shame in calling your doc repeatedly until you get those results.

Sometimes, you can even call where the tests were done and see if you can get them there.

Good luck to you.

It's impossible to say without the biopsy results. Fingers crossed you get good news. You shouldn't have to wait more than 2 weeks for the biopsy.

if i was you i would calm down and wait for ur test results, if they say u have canser then u can worry, but you dont know yet so just relax.
by the way im 13 and have had a bump in my boob before but then i read in a book that it's perfectly normal to have one. it went away after about 6 months. i might be a girl but you might just be going through a natarul thing.

good luck
=] xx indi

sometimes fear gets in the way of our natural gut feelings and with this situation its only normal to be scared.I have read that 9 out of 10 lumps are not due to cancer.
many are just calcium deposits or benign cysts.
try to calm yourself for now.picuture yourself glowing health and never imagine the worst it can make you feel sick with worry.new treatments give many hope of long happy lives.

u should receive the answer quickly.it is not normal that u wait for it.

It seems a long time to be waiting for results. I would get back in touch with doctor. Does he know about the new lumps?......Get in touch with him/her asap.

Good luck.

Sorry that you're having to wait for test results, I know how hard that is.

However, all you can do is wait; there is no way of knowing till then whether you have cancer and no way anyone here can tell you.

I expect you know that most breast lumps aren't cancerous and many women have naturally lumpy breasts. That won't stop you being scared though.

Good luck, I hope you get your biopsy results soon and that they're negative.

Oh and Roxy, men can get breast cancer too

I can understand how you must feel. I know that when I had to have my mammogram repeated because they thought they saw something I was very scared. They say that most lumps found in the breasts are benign. Some people have lumps that occur frequently. Many times it is fibrous tissue or cysts. Please, try not to worry. Don't let your gut instinct tell you it is cancer. That is just something we are going to naturally assume because that is what we hear most about. We don't always hear about the benign things like the cysts or fibrous tissue and that is what is usually is. I will pray you hear your good news soon.
