Once you have an outbreak there are some things you can do to make them a bit easier to deal with. Keep the area as clean and dry as possible. Wear cotton undies if you wear any at all. Soak in a warm tub. You can add few drops of tea tree oil to it, and some people also swear that Epsom Salts help as well. You an also apply diluted tea tree oil directly to the area. This can burn like heck at first, especially if the lesions have burst.

If it hurts to go to the bathroom, pour a cup of warm water over yourself as you go. This will dilute the urine and ease the stinging. You can also apply a pain reliever that contains lidocaine. There is a spay that you can use called dermoplast. Make sure you get the can with the blue top. Many people love that stuff! Just be careful, since some people are sensitive to lidocaine.

In addition, try taking a pain reliever like Tylenol.

If you are having problems with outbreaks, you may want to consider taking suppressive therapy. That will prevent you from getting them at all. There is no reason to live with pain if you don't have to! Hope you begin to feel better soon.

Take a lot of b2 vitamin and green tea. That works for me.

keep them clean and dry....don't touch them wear loose fitting chlothes...also take lysine everyday...they help keep the outbreaks at bay...hope this helps

some mayo

Do NOT touch them because they are VERY VERY contagious. Try putting some baking soda on them, it dries the sores out and helps them heal better and helps with the itch. Go to this website http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Book... for more remedies
