It sounds like you had food poisoning. Usually the effects of having eaten some thing bad will start within 4 hours of eating it. Think back to what you were eating right before you got sick. Is it possible it was bad?

Initially you think that it may simply be a bug that is going around, and that you will start to feel better soon, although you must drink fluids because you will become dehydrated. The urination issue again could be due to dehydration, if after drinking fluids you have still not gone i would recommend that you see a doctor.

Another cause for this could infact be Food Poisoning, but you will have to get checked out by your Doctor.

If your still feeling ill then get to your GP, even phone them they can advise you over the telephone.

Hope you feel better soon x

No, it's not unusual...sounds as if you have the flu that many have had recently. The fact that you have not urinated means you are very dehydrated. Start drinking water as soon as you can..sipping it for now if you are still throwing up. Ginger ale, watered down Gatorade or Pedialyte will also help replenish lost nutrients. Do you have any peppermint tea or ginger tea? These can help settle - if you have any ripe bananas, or rice in the house...each of these help to slow down the diarrhea - Should be stopping today...if not call your doctor to be safe. Again, liquids especially water is extremely important! Many glasses throughout the day - get started!

sounds like gastro enteritus(sp)
keep off food for 24 hrs s allthe docs tell you theses days keep sipping water.
try immodium to stop it and diaorlyte for keeping your body salts level.

If you have acute diarrhoea, the symptoms are very likely to settle down within a week and tests are usually unnecessary.

However if your diarrhoea becomes more persistent or if you have other symptoms (such as blood in your stools or dehydration) your doctor may ask for a stool sample to investigate for bacteria or parasites.

Other tests for chronic diarrhoea may include blood tests or a sigmoidoscopy (a procedure that involves passing a thin fibre-optic tube, attached to a viewing lens, through the rectum to view the intestine).
TreatmentIf you have acute diarrhoea you are advised to keep to the following until your symptoms settle:

Avoid dehydration by drinking lots of fluids. You are more likely to be dehydrated if you are also vomiting. Try to take small frequent sips of water or diluted fruit juices. If you are worried that you are becoming dehydrated, your doctor or pharmacist may advise rehydration drinks. You can buy these sachets from your pharmacy and add them to water. They provide the correct balance of water, salt, and sugar. They do not help cure the diarrhoea, but are ideal to prevent or treat dehydration. You should eat as soon as you can. The old advice was to not eat anything for a day or two but now it is advised that you should eat foods high in carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, rice, or potatoes, and other foods as soon as you feel like it. If however you feel you can't eat, it will do you no harm but continue drinking, and eat as soon as you are able.

hope still helps and you feel better soon :-)

You've got food poisoning. You must not eat anything, and only drink water other wise you will dehydrate. You need to call the GP for a home visit. Can you remember what you ate last? He will need to know. Some cases of food poisoning need pin pointing, as they can be caused by poor hygene in shops restaurants etc. The GP will also prescribe you some rehydration salts, as you loose body salts, by vomitting and diarrhoea.

I had it once and it was found that the chinese restaurant where I hade eaten was causing the problem to not only me.

a simple solution of salt and sugar, will help. also do not, under any circumstance do you eat or drink dairy proudcts

Try squeezing a whole lemon in a glass of water and take 3 to 5 times a day. It will kill the pathogens in your body. Take acidophillus, it's a good bacteria that is in yogurt. Eat yogurt if you like, but yogurt does not have enough acidophillus in it to fully help. I hope this helps.
