Forehead lump?!

Question: For nearly three years now, I have had a lump on my forehead. It was bigger at first, but then became smaller. I was worried about it, so I went to the doctor, and she examined it and I think she told me it was a cyst? I asked her how serious it was, and she told me that it was not cancerous, and should not be harmful. But she told me that the only way to remove it is by surgery. I have been thinking about having it removed by surgery, my doctor warned me that it would leave a permanent scar. The lump itself is not easily seen, but sometimes when I wash my face, if I accidentally run my fingernail across it, it begins to hurt. Should I get a surgery done and be left with a scar for the rest of my life? Or should I leave it alone?

i would get the surgery, get a capsule of mederma scar medice and put a little on maybe twice a day(day and night)!!!! and after about hmm.... 3 weeks or soo it shouldnt be visible. i used it after i had moluscum contagiosum, a type of contagious wart on my neck and had darrrk round spots on my neck and used it consistantly and now you cannt see them!

i would get it removed, its gross to think of a cyst. a scar is better to me.

depends how big the scar would be

I would go for the surgery. I know two people who've had these, including my mother. The operation is under local anesthetic and is very quick. If you can't see the cyst normally, you won't see the scar. Anyway, the scar is minute, no bigger than a penny.

I had a medium size cyst on my forehead and the surgeon stitched it so that it's in my hairline. You can barely see it. I'm glad I got the operation because I try to cover the cyst with bangs and the bangs were uneven because of the size of the cyst. Good Luck!
