Swollen glands...the ones on both sides of the throat?!

Question: Are you always supposed to be able to feel the glands on the side of your throat? I know that doctors feel them to see if they've swollen when you get sick, but i can feel mine, epsecially the one on the right side of my throat, all of the time (regradless of if i feel sick or not). It's not huge, but there's definitely a bump there. Somedays it's bigger than others, but it never goes away. I don't remember previously ever being able to feel them there, but then again, I was never looking either (randomly felt them when i touched my neck about a year ago, and now i've felt for them almost every say since, semi-neurotically).

...please tell me that this is just me being a hipochondriac, and nothing serious. Like I said, they're never huge, and somedays they're bigger than others. They don't hurt either. It's just kind of worrisome to me that all of the sudden I am 'aware' of my throat glands...

yes, you can feel glands on the sides of your throat. If you touch em, and you think they're "large" you just happen to have large glands....

... you'll know the feeling when they are "swollen" or infected.... it's not a plesant feeling... but it's common and usually goes away within 24 hours.....

When they're not swollen and totally cool, they won't cause pain or displeasure.... if you feel a bump, just one side is larger than the other.... I have one huge toncil, and one small one.... doctors always tell me the huge one is fine
..... but stress and worrying about it will cause your swollen glands to stay swollen for longer.

.... im a hypocondriac too.... and believe it or not those neck glands operate on just thinking about em.... you're not dying lol, nothing is wrong.... but try not to think about it and they'll get smaller

May just be your cartoid vein?Which is nowt to worry about

I know right now I'm playing the lead in "As Is", which the main character has swollen glands from his AIDS-related illness.

But surely you don't have AIDS, do you?

you really should get that checked out, if only for your own peace of mind.
