Mebeverine relieves the symptoms of IBS by relaxing the muscles in the intestine. Spasms in the intestine are what cause the symptoms of IBS such as cramps, constipation and diarrhoea. Take it about 20 - 30 minutes before eating to help relieve the symptoms. Hope this helps.

Try Acidophilus, and I eat Activa also wouldnt hurt to try an enzyme tablet before you eat I do all three so much better.. nothing will CURE but these have helpt me, good luck.. also try to keep the stress level down..(If someon would tell us how thats done) aoys Bonnie Report It

    I hope it helps.

Mebeverine is a medication that helps stop intestinal spasms. These spasms are thought to be a cause of the pain to do with IBS.

Look at this link for description and lists of vitamins that can help manage IBS (there is no cure and doctors disagree about what actually causes it).
