Heart Attack/Panic Attack?!

Question: I've been highly stressed out for the last 6 months due to several life altering happenings & other major life issues. I have had panic and anxiety attacks before, but yesterday was different.

The pain was centralized over my heart with radiating pains on my left upper body (including shoulder, neck, and right below my breast.) It was accompanied by nausea. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack or getting ready to have one, so I tried to remain calm the rest of the evening. Today I wake up and have the same issue. Is it possible that I did have a heart attack, considering the pain lasting so long, or am I just having a really long panic attack/series of attacks?

Don't take any chances. I'm alive today because I didn't hesitate to get medical attention when I had my heart attack. If you get a blood test within, I believe, 72 hours, they can tell for sure whether it was a heart attack or not. There's some chemical indicator in your bloodstream for that long. After that, they'll be guessing.

In any case, with chest pain, pain being transmitted to other parts of your body, and nausea; you've got way too many symptoms to just hope it goes away.

Almost everyone who gets quick treatment survives so don't take the risk! See a doctor now!

To me it sounds like a panic attack. I would say unless it was INTENSE cant-move type of pains, and you are still kickin'...it was a panic attack. They can feel like heart attacks and if you start thinking its a heart attack, it will mimic it...just because you're worried about it. Gotta love anxiety...

Get up and go to the ER NOW. This is your life get off the pc and go now.

Google an article called My Heart Attack or My Heart Attack Was Silent by Elizabeth Garret.

Your symptoms sound scary to me

I have had the same thing. It even went as far as my left arm went numb. I went straight to the er and the ran ever test and it wasn't a heart attack. I agree with the first response about it will mimic what u are thinking about. Anxiety is a crazy thing

See your Dr. You might get yourself checked for a hiatal hernia. The symptoms can be just as you have described.
If you are subject to panic attacks you really want to have a doctor look at you and check your heart and also check for hiatal hernia and GERD
Sometimes not knowing is NOT good.
