If someone had an std, could you find it in your heart to still be with them?!

Question: I know someone in this situation and they're not sure what to do.

Answers: I know someone in this situation and they're not sure what to do.

they have to search their soul. love is love. i know people who have been in love and living with people who have STD that are lethal, and those that aren't. the best advice i can give is to talk with the person who has the STD openly and honestly and discuss ways to prevent the spreading of it to the person who doesn't have it. if you are more concerned with your own health, and can't let love be love, than perhaps you shouldn't get into a relationship with someone who has whatever STD they have. it will just hurt them if their parnter is not fully giving of themself.

wow man... My best friend called me yesterday and told me he's in the exact same situation. I really didn't know what to tell him... I just said... if you really care for her, go for it. So there's your answer... Only if I really really cared about the person. If not... basta...

If this is an uncurable STD your friend must decide if he/she could live with having that STD. Some won't kill you but some will.

having an STD is not like an death sentence and I don't think they should be treated like that. I know it would be very hard to have one, but if you love someone you take the proper precautions to protect them to make sure they do not get it as well.

I think that the best place to ask this question is a STD dating site such as pozcupid .com. Many people have the same problem after they got std from ex-friends.

Ask my husband - I am HIV+ and he accepted me, warts and all.
