So you have an STD?!

Question: Supposedly, STDs are very common. So, are you willing to admit that you have an STD, if you do?

I have Type 2 Genital herpes - from my cheating 1st husband (over 20 years), Type 1 optical herpes from sharing make-up with the gals (about 15 years)....
and HPV (warts) - was born with that
I HAD crabs twice (1st husband, or couse) and once got a bacterial infection from having anal THEN vaginal sex...it's obviously not sanitary to do that...

The only people I tell are people I have sexual contact with and people that seem to need to be educated on STDs...and my experiences might help them

***EDIT*** JUST FYI....Did you know your warts means you have HPV in your bloodstream...IF your warts rub against someones private parts - they could cause genital warts.... and that it also makes it unlikely you'll contract genital warts - because you already have the virus in your system! So good for you (my husband also! lucky guys!) Be careful if they're on your hands! But like I said - that scenario HAS HAPPENED...but is few & far between!

i can admit that i don't have one (or any). i'm sorry i can't relate, but i hope this helps.

Luckily I've never had one *knocks on wood* And yes, they are common, a lot more than people think... I don't see anything wrong with admitting that you've had one...I would admit to having one, just so I could help others. Education is such a strong tool...personal experience can help someone understand, relate to or even avoid all together.

I think that the more people deny that they have them, makes it appear like "Oh I'm never gonna get them" to people...We've all done stupid stuff, (Oh god especially me), and I'm very thankful that nothing came out of my stupidity and I'm able to learn from my mistakes...talking about safe sex, taking care of yourself and being safe is what people need to do/understand. Good question!

Yep. I have genital herpes. And I've had a bacterial vaginal infection at one point, too.

Many many people (most people who have them) have STD and are unaware that they have them. Most people who have genital herpes don't know that they have it. Most people who have HPV don't know that they have it. And you can't admit to having one if you don't know you have it.

You might want to at least tell us whether or not YOU are willing to admit that you have an STD. Since you asked.

I got genital herpes from my cheating husband, who smells more cooch than a bloodhound.

sure. i have herpes. the oral kind on my mouth and gentials plus the gential type. the oral type is common to have about 80% of the population has it. u can sometimes even tell who has it on tv. for the genital type i believe its about 20-30% of the population. i got them from being monogomous with my bf who was also being monogomous of 3 years. he didn't know that he had herpes and i did't know any better. i also had a bladder infection and numerous utis.

I have genital herpes, thankfully nothing else. There was just a study done not too long ago, 1 in 4 teens has an std, 1 in 5 adults has herpes, and the syphilis rate in Indianapolis is already past the rate for the entire year of 2007. I was so afraid of what people would say at first, so I practiced abstinence, and being lonely. I decided that wasn't the life for me, so I found a very mature man to date, and I told him my situation, and he is now my husband

I would if I had one.

I Dont have any, my 13 year old mate does though.
Thats why Essex girls have such a bad rep.
