Weird blood pressure readings...?!
Question: for the past three times i have checked my blood pressure it was an unusual reading, like just now it was 144/85 high systolic and normal to low dialostic and my pulse is usually pretty high for being in a normal resting state...
now, i dont do drugs.smoke.drink. etc. i am typically healthy, now that i have been having abdominal problems, i have noticed that my blood pressure is high. before these unknown abdominal pains started i had perfect blood pressure, never high at all...i am going to speak to my doctor about this soon but i was wondering what it could be....

Actually this is not a bad reading if you take normal as 140/90. It may be relatively high for your personal baseline however. The upper number can actually vary quite a bit depending on stress, exertion and your level of activity. Occult illness may affect your blood pressure. Whatever is affecting your heart rate is likely also having an effect on your systolic pressure too, whether it is stress or abdominal discomfort.
High blood pressure is a long term serious problem, I don't want to scare you but stroke can happen to anyone at any age.
Go see your family doctor as soon as you can.
Eat less animal fat like hamburger, cheese & eggs. Lose weight.
