How long will this cold that I've got last with these symptoms?!
Question: Within the last few days I've gone from a mild sore throat to swollen tonsils, congestion/cough, and a sore throat. I constantly have to blow my nose because it's always stuffed up.
At night is when it bothers me the most. The mucus that comes out is a light green color and then fades to clear after a while.
I've been taking Sudafed and will consider Nyquil for the night.

Cold is viral in nature, it is self -limiting, meaning it will just normally disappear.The symptoms of a cold usually resolve after about one week, but can last up to 14 days, with a cough lasting longer than other symptoms.
Be sure to take a lot of fluids (water or juice).
Rest will help.
About 10 days. Takes that long for the body to create specific antibodies to fight the virus causing your cold.
