How do i prevent diabetes. i eat alot alot of sugar but its so addicting?!

Question: If you are predisposed to diabetes (someone else in your family has it) or someone has highblood pressure and/or heart disease you can put off insulin dependency by cutting manufactured sugar out and limiting fruits and foods naturally high in sugar, no sodas and lots of exercise. If you are pre-disposed the more sugar you eat the sooner you will become insulin dependent.

To prevent the chance of being diagnosed with Diabetes, you got to lay off the sugar...I know it will be hard, but start small. Cut a few sugary snacks out of your diet, or start off by limiting your soda intake...as you make small strides and have incorporated a health diet, you'll lose any temptation for sugar....

Also, why not consume some(or more) fruits....as Marge Simpson says, "They're natures Candy"

sugar doesnt cause diabetes...as long as you arent overweight it shouldnt be a problem...also diabetic genes are a cause. so if you have a family history of diabetic or you are overweight, you should be careful. but if neither of those apply...eat up! life is short...eat cookies! haha good luck.

I dont believe it has anything to do with the sugar you eat its you pancras doesnt produce enought insullian so thats how it happens. But try to eat well balance no junk.

Check out the life of a Diabetic!!! I had a friend, who was a Diabetic all her life. By the time she turned 30, every so often, she was having fingers, and toes; and then finally limbs cut off!!! Think about that!!!

It is true that (white) sugar doesn't cause Diabetes; it's when your Pancras either starts to wear out or shuts down. (You do hasten the shut down by eating too much processed sugar)You can extend your Pancra's life by reducing everything that contains processed (white) sugar from your diet.

you prevent diabetes by being fit and healthy. you dont get it from eating Sugar! its your pancreas not being able to make enough insulin for your body to break down sugar...theirfor, people gain weight because the sugar it cant break down...turns to fat.

trust me sugar does cause diabetes its called
Type2 Diabetes and usually onset is as we get a bit older.
By asking you are very smart. I have tried all the sweeteners
out there but I like Equal the best. I use it in my coffee etc.
I buy generic Equal at WalMart as it is cheaper dollars cheaper
to buy generic.
Cut down on soft drinks even diet ones.
Cut down on juices or dilute them with water they taste
good and last longer.
Check labels of juices and other items if they end
with 'ose' such as fructose or corn syrup that just means
SUGAR
you can still have sugar but in moderation actually
measure it. and junk food try to reduce it until you
can stop that if you do.
