Structural abnormality - what is it called?!
Question: My baby was just diagnosed with a structural abnormality in it's heart. One of the lower (larger) chambers is almost non-existent. I am 25 weeks pregnant, so they found this through the ultrasound. What is the name of this abnormality, and what kind of surgery do they do to fix it. We haven't seen the pediatric cardiologist yet. I'm just trying to get myself prepared for the visit, emotionally and educationally. If I know what it is, I will know what kind of questions to ask. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
